The cabinet is constructed of solid mahogany and features satinwood string inlay to the top and two door fronts. To the centre of the top and doors are elegant shaped satinwood shell inlay motif. The top features a practical gallery tray top with two useful carrying handles; the gallery is useful in that it stops items rolling or falling off the top of the cabinet. The cabinet retains it original studded brass escutcheons and brass drop ring handles. Likewise, the two doors retain its original brass-locking latch. The cabinet doors open to reveal a useful storage area inside. Below, there is an oak lined, hand-dovetailed drawer, which is useful for storing further items. The cabinet stands on its original length legs.
