Here is a stunning pair of antique Art Deco sycamore bedside chests, circa 1930, in good original condition. The bedsides are constructed of a sycamore veneer on a mahogany frame. One bedside features two removable mahogany shelves, while the other has two sliding mahogany trays. The bedsides boast attractive half-hexagon shaped doors and feature the original working lock, key and escutcheons. The bedsides also feature their original metal floral carved handles. The bedsides stand on the original recessed plinths. These bedsides boast classic Art Deco styling throughout; this is visible in the curved corners, stepped design and clean lines.

These bedsides boast a rich golden sycamore colour. They have a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

These bedsides would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room to the bedroom. They would certainly grace any home, in either a traditional or contemporary setting; they are a great investment as they are extremely functional. These bedside chests are in good original condition, which is commensurate with their age. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The bedsides boast lovely sycamore veneers, with a warm mellow colour, on a mahogany frame. The bedsides also boast the original metal floral carved handles with the original working door locks (there is a working key) and original key escutcheons. These items are well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
