Description:
Here is an attractive pair of fine quality English Georgian Regency style mahogany Bachelor chest of drawers, circa 1970, in good condition, constructed with top quality figured mahogany veneers. The style of these chests emulates that seen during the late George III Regency period. The tops incorporate stunning figured mahogany veneers, with reeded moulding to the edges. The chests feature four mahogany lined, dovetailed drawers with cock beaded frames with figured mahogany veneers. The drawers also incorporate classic Regency style metal drop ring handles, which are attached to circular escutcheons with flower head design. The chests are raised on bracket feet.

This pair of chests would look great in a variety of rooms from the living room as lamp tables, or the bedroom as bedsides. They are an extremely useful pair of chests to have in the house. The chests boast a rich brown mahogany colour with a lovely patination to the timber.

Condition Report:
This pair of chests is in excellent original condition. They have been French polished and the handles cleaned in our workshops. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and inside drawer bottoms but nothing significant considering the age of the item. There are no marks, scratches or stains to the tops of the chests. The items are completely original. The drawers are free running and close flush to the frame. These items are solid in joint, they do not wobble and are ready to use.
