Description:
This is an attractive and good quality antique French provincial cherry wood coffee table, circa 1850, in excellent condition. Designed for a French country property, it benefits from a beautiful three-plank cherry wood top with a lovely grain configuration and a generous overhang. Below are two asymmetrical working drawers, which feature their original turned knobs, butt joint construction and chestnut linings, providing ample storage space. The table has been handmade using the pegged construction method. The table is raised on four turned baluster legs. The table’s low height makes it ideal as a coffee table. The table boasts a superb rich cherry colour and is in excellent condition.

This table boasts a rich cherry wood colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

Condition Report:
This table is in excellent condition. The table has been French polished in our workshops, to display the stunning colour and patination of the cherry wood. Nominal old use marks to the top and edges, but nothing significant considering its age. There are no stains or cup marks to the top. It has been reduced in height sometime in the past. The working drawers feature their original turned knobs and chestnut drawer linings. The drawers are in good working order and close flush to the frame. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
