Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Georgian style mahogany fold over demi-lune shape card table, constructed in the Edwardian period, circa 1900, in good condition. Constructed from mahogany, this table boasts a lovely single-plank mahogany top (sign of quality), finished with a bead carved moulded edge. Below, there is a simple beaded frieze to the front. The table stands on four tapering legs, with spade feet, which feature the original brass and porcelain castors. The rear, central leg can be pulled forth to open an internal drawer. The drawer, which is hand dovetailed and mahogany lined, contains five packs of playing cards and a baize brush. While the drawer is open, it acts as a rest for when the table is unfolded. The card table incorporates a new green baize; therefore the baize is in excellent clean condition.

This table features a lovely warm brown mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

This card table is in good condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, and top, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The card table incorporates a new green baize; therefore the baize is in excellent clean condition. The drawer is in good working order and closes flush to the frame. The table stands on its original brass and porcelain castors. As the table boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
